How we treat dental trauma depends on the severity of the injury. A chipped tooth can be treated with a tooth-coloured filling, veneer or crown. If the pulp has been exposed as a result of the trauma, a root canal treatment may be needed and followed up with the installation of a crown.
If your tooth has been pushed out of it’s normal position then it’s important for us to be able to reposition is as soon as possible.
If your tooth has been knocked out, store the tooth in a small amount of saliva and get to the dentist quickly, as quick replacement of the tooth is vital to long term success.

There can be many unforeseen consequences to not seeking treatment for dental trauma, even if it appears relatively light. Time is of the essence, the sooner we protect any exposed surfaces of your tooth the better the chances of survival of your tooth. Unseen damage could be done to other teeth, leaving you more prone to infections that could lead to abscesses.
